Hello and welcome to my site and thanks for looking me up on the web.
2009 has been another great and busy year. I spent January through August in Nosara, Costa Rica again, surfing
and playing music and had tons of cool guest artisits sit in with the different configurations i have going there. And
for the first time in the 4 years I have lived in Nosara I was able to put together a "live" Native Vibe unit consisting of
Hernan Olalla on bass and John John on drums. We had a lot of fun especially with the addition of Ray Moss's psychedelic
graphics and photography that he created "live" while we performed at Kaya Sol. In August though I decided it was time to
move to Costa Rica's capitol city, San Jose to pursue new professional music offers, offers for recording and gigging. I
like the city alot after being in the jungle for so long and now am auditioning and meeting lots of new players. I will be
gigging in Puerta Vallarta and West Africa again in December.
I have
a brand new cd out with Native Vibe titled "Across the Globe". This last summer during our radio campaign with Roger
Lifesett and Peer Pressure Promotions we got on the Smooth Jazz R&R charts for 3 months. Even more important we made it
on the Grammy Ballot (pre-nominations)for "Best Contemporary Jazz Album". This cd is spiced with jazz,
african and latin flavors and has a great lineup. Russel Ferrante, Mic Gillette, Nee Sackey, Luis Conte, Marcel Adjibi,
Dave Curtis, Allan Phillips, Jason Hann, Rogerio Jardim, Jeff Kashiwa, Dayren Santamaria, Fabiana Passoni, Marion Meadows,
Ramon Yslas and Kamau Kenyatta to name a few. Check out the cool artwork too, a painting done by Richard Moffat.
I have also been touring with jazz /flamenco violinist extraordinaire Willie Royal, the Willie of "Willie
and Lobo" so watch for dates around the US and Canada with him this and next year. We just recorded a double "live to
multi-track" cd and a dvd as well and those products will be available before the end of the year.
Additionally I have started a brand new Native Vibe CD to be titled "Picante". Hernan is working on the
sequencing as we speak and it promises to be s saucy latin adventure in sound. this CD will be out mid 2010.

I am spending most of my time in Costa Rica but am available for teaching, recording sessions,
